I bought this beauty at the start of the summer and have really enjoyed driving it, but it just isn't 'me'. I like my cars a bit more raw, rough & ready! If anything, it's probably too good for me to enjoy. Have a look at the photos and you'll see what I mean. Whilst it is in no way concours it's in pretty good shape. Purists won't like the additional rear lights, nor some of the interior electrics (extra switches for the fan, horn, etc etc). I assume they were added for good reason, but they all make it easier to live with in the UK. It's also had a 12v alternator conversion. It had a complete restoration in the US, and was sold through Barrett Jackson. You can see the original listing here....https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1948-CADILLAC-SERIES-62-SEDAN-39698I have a whole load of photos of the restoration, and a huge file of work done in this country by the subsequent owner. I believe the re-chroming cost around $14, 000 alone.I've had a couple of water leaks; one slight blow from a head gasket and one core plug. Both have been changed, and it's now water-tight. I've got an extra head gasket and core plugs should it happen again.Starts on the button every time, and sounds fantastic. The bodywork is in excellent condition, as is the paint, The chassis is just as good. If anyone would like any shots of any areas, let me know; I have a ramp and can get it up in the air (just!)All tyres are almost unworn, and it has rare 'Sombrero' hubcaps, that are like new. There's a box of spares to go with it; loads of brake parts, water pump rebuild kits, gaskets etc etc.It really is a shame we didn't gel. I like to mess around with my cars, and this really doesn't need anything. I'd be happy with a p/ x for something from the 60's, or anything interesting; what have you got? Cash either way. And if you've got a '69/'70 Mustang or a '66 Pontiac Bonneville...
