Vehicle Details

After 26 years of ownership I have decided to sell on my 1973 Bronco. It is about as dry a truck you will find for a 48 year old vehicle. It was always a western truck believed to have been sold originally in Las Vegas, NV. I bought the truck used in Vegas when I was living in Southern Nevada. Two negatives first off is the fact that the right quarter panel suffered accident damage before I owned the vehicle and that after 48 years the seam sealer in places in shrinking and needs to be resealed. There is slight surface rust here and there underneath the vehicle but absolutely no rot or rust through. Anyway this truck has been licensed and insured consistently for my length of ownership and has never been used as a daily driver. I mainly used it for weekend trail rides and other off road activities. I did tow it behind an RV for a couple of trips but that was about it for towing it. The old tow bar is included with the truck. The true miles are unknown but the original speedo showed 88 K miles when replaced by another speedo many years ago and it shows 79 K miles now but it was not 0 when installed. Due to the limited use over the years I would guess the true miles are around the 100 K mark. The speedo present now is not accurate, the speed shows fast and I'm sure the odometer is not recording correctly because of the oversize tires. I freshened the engine up back around 96 not long after I bought the truck, rings, bearings, valves, new Comp cam, just a mild grind, Weiand manifold, Carter AFB carb. It also has a Davis Unified distributor, that is a GM HEI type distributor, an aluminum radiator with electric cooling fan. Last that comes to mind is a Summit 140 amp alternator. The original seats are gone and has newer vehicle buckets installed. I do have a back seat, but needs recovered, the frame itself is powder coated and will go with. The truck was originally white over green, the repaint goes back to the late 90's as well. In all my years of ownership the truck has never broken down and stranded me in the desert. Front and rear differentials are posi and has been a joy to take off roading. It also has power steering and power front disc brakes.I think I have covered it all and tried to give and honest description of the vehicle. If you have any questions don't hesitate to email. I expect a Pay Pal down of 500.00 at end of auction. If you plan on picking the vehicle up I expect cash. Cashiers checks or bank transfers fine but the vehicle will not be released until funds are in my account. Thanks. Images

After receiving questions I realize that I should have gone into more detail than I did. First, the truck had been lifted prior to my owner ship by spring replacement. I replaced the front panhard bar to an adjustable one because the spring lift kit throws the front axle off the center line of the truck. I also changed the front track bar bushings to ones that bring the axle caster settings back to the norm. Anyway the quarters and fenders have been cut. Also the hood inner structure has been cut in two places, one to accommodate the HEI ignition and a second cut to try and fit an aftermarket air filter. The auxiliary fuel tank is a steel replacement for the plastic original and the fuel change over valve is an electric valve that also changes the fuel gauge to the tank selected instead of the manual valve. The engine block and heads I believe are original to the truck. The frame has no known damage or rust out, surface rust typical of just about any desert car. The tow bar brackets are welded to the front frame horns. The doors are not original to the truck, I sourced the doors from an owner that was selling his doors so he could run around without doors I'm guessing. Anyway the replacement doors have had the window frames welded up where they go into the door skin. The roll bar was added and there is a High lift jack attached to the roll bar. Also the drivers outside mirror is not an original, it is a Ford mirror off another model that is a mechanical remote type mirror. I am probably still forgeting stuff so please email with questions and if this information causes any heart burn please with draw your bid, I want all parties to be happy with this sale. Thank you, Mike.
