Rover mini - classic mini - studio 2 - 1991

Stunning classic mini - in black - 1991 - genuine 21 k - all old MOTs - current MOT Dry stored most of its life and only used occasionally by its elderly previous owners (3)

I bought this car several months ago after looking at literally hundreds of others - there is no rust on the floors, it has never been welded and the body work is very straight. I was planning on keeping this one but sadly our up coming house move is sapping funds and my toys have to go (see other listings - Chevy C 10/C 15 pick up and custom Harley Davidson).

I have loads of photos of the car from when i bought it - interior was very basic and looked dated so I had the interior stripped out (I have photos of the floors - totally rot free) carpets professionally cleaned, the floor was then spray lined and dodo sound proofing applied.

I had all the glass removed and new rubbers installed - including windscreen and rear screen - they didnt leak but were cracked (i have photos of the window surrounds - again rust free).Door rubbers were replaced at the same time.I had a brand new carburettor fitted - old one was sticking. I also had a stage 1 minisport kit fitted - consisting of - free flowing full exhaust system including manifold, uprated carb needle & performance cone air filter. This has made a huge difference and means the mini can keep up with modern traffic. Sounds great too. Starts 1 st time every time.Most of the interior is new - piano black dash, alcantara dash top and alcantara door cards, new steering wheel and new floor mats. The wheels are brand new JBW gold minilites with yokohama tyres and look great. Paint work looks really nice - I cant see any touch ups and to me looks certainly mostly original - no rust bubbles.Engine is sweet, gearbox is lovely and changes are easy - clutch feels great. Probably the best addition I have had done is the retro fit air conditioning system - compressor, dryer, condensing radiator and in cockpit blower unit. Works a treat and is icy cold. Very rare in a UK classic mini due to it being a pain to install apparently. The original mini heater unit and controls are still in place and work as they should - the aircon is a separate unit.Basically as this car was going to be a keeper - I have had it gone through mechanically and cosmetically inside and out from top to bottom.
