Powered by its believed to be original YS 400 ci V 8, tied to the Turbo-Hydromatic 400 transmission, with his and her dual gate shifter and power steering, this GTO is a blast to drive. Pontiac defined the Muscle Car segment with the introduction of the GTO in 1964. An optional package in 1964 & 1965 the GTO became it's own model in 1966 and received styling and performance upgrades in the 1967 model year. Engineers who designed and developed the GTO put GM's design standards and limitation aside and pushed the GTO's styling and performance beyond previous boundaries. GTOs are undoubtedly one of the most sought after muscle cars today.
