This delightful 1962 Triumph TR4 has had a significant amount of time and financial investment carried out on her in recent years by consecutive owners . The car was first registered 27th April 1962 and is an original RHD home market car. Now 59 years old it is both road tax and MOT exempt. The body was restored about 10 years ago and remains in excellent order. The British Racing Green paintwork looks fantastic with bright chrome all round and sitting on wire knock on wheels fitted with new matching whitewall banded tyres. The engine was rebuilt in 2016 with new liners and pistons increasing the cubic capacity to 2290cc, Fast Road camshaft, Vernier cam sprocket, high capacity oil pump, the cylinder head has also been converted to run on unleaded fuel and the car has excellent oil pressure. In addition to this, an electric fuel pump and pressure regulator have been fitted. A high velocity aluminium radiator and an electric fan have been fitted as well as a aluminium fuel tank, vented front disc brakes, new road springs and a retro radio. A multitude of other items are shown in the history file including: electronic ignition, coil, cap, plugs, engine mounts, fuse box, servo, distributor, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, ball joints, halogen lamps, brake pipes, bump stops and more. The interior is a really nice place to be with cream leather seats finished with green piping, new green carpets, a Moto Lita style wooden steering wheel, rear seat conversion and a black soft top hood. The car drives with no known faults and the overdrive system on the gearbox operates correctly. Having covered approximately 3700 miles since the rebuild, this TR4 is ready to enjoy immediately. Supplied with a V5C registration document, and a MoT till 15/06/2022 (advisories attended to) together with a Heritage certificate, £30k valuation certificate, owners handbook, spare keys and a history folder. This is a very well sorted example.
