Triumph TR4A 1966 WITH TR250 SPEC ENGINE UNUSED FOR TEN YEARS

SELLING MY TR4A WHICH I HAVE OWNED FOR 12 YEARS.

It has been garaged stored unused for 10 years until this week when we have got her out,changed the petrol

and fitted a new battery and started her up.

She runs fine but needs choke to run so suspect the carbs need cleaning.

All brakes and clutch fully operational so I can take you round the block for a very short run to show everything works.

Please note this is not a pristine trailer queen car,it was built by the previous owner Peter Hinson for fast sprint climbs and fast road and was well known to the club.

(The folder of works done to the car comes with a cd video of Goodwood and Prescott races in her in 2007).

As seen in the photos the chassis was welded and restored by Peter and painted in enamel blue.

His work is very good and the chassis is still rock solid.

Rear suspension was reworked with adjustable gas shocks and heavy duty CV drive shafts.

The floor and body tub was welded up to make solid but is not pretty and is priced accordingly.

All panels are original steel except the offside rear wing which is grp.

Paintwork is awful so expect a full respray.

Fuel tank is alloy TR revington with fuel regulator and facet pump.

Peter rebuilt the engine including a fast road cam and roller rockers,spin on oil filter  and oil cooler

Electric fan.

She was rolling road tested in 2010 and showed 140 bhp at the wheels,copy in file.

Twin Su carbs and extractor manifold running to non conventional twin exhaust which is loud.

Minator alloys with goodyear tyres that only did 500 miles but now ten years old

Spare is also alloy.

Gear box very good and fitted with heavy duty clutch and working overdrive.

The surrey top is all fibreglass from Revington.

Comes with hard fibre glass centre section plus canvass and sticks.

carpets are (were) new as were door cards.

Seats were fully restored mx5 in leather with harness belts.

Thats about it.

A good very fast in its day tr4a with tr250 spec which is how she was classed.

Now needing some work to put back on the road after 10 years storage.

I did at the time collect items for her 10 years ago so the following come in the sale

-original roll bar (bolts straight in) additional roll bar also to allow variations in roof styles.

-original front and rear bumpers rechromed to a very high standard and in perfect condition.

-new centre soft top.

I have insured her and taxed her so can demonstrate as said for short run as carbs not running right.

Please dont expect a perfect tr4 as its not and its not priced that way.
