A low mileage example purchased by an engineer who had a full inspection done upon the car prior to purchase identifying any faults or areas needing attention. After purchase the new owner set about correcting every item on the list to put the car in perfect condition. Indicated mileage is 53,526 as of the day of photography.

Works undertaken included a rebore of the engine with new pistons & rings being fitted. Big end bearings, crank shaft & journals were inspected by no discernable wear found. The crank shaft damper was relined & a new fibre camshaft gear installed as a precaution. The hydraulic jacking sysem was also disassembled & overhauled to work like new. A mostly complete tool kit is found in the boot.

The car has had a full retrim in tan leather piped in dark brown along with new carpets & headling. An underfloor heater is fitted & in working condition providing warm air for both front & rear occupants. The wire wheels have all been removed & rebuilt/respoked by a speciaist. All interior woodwork is in fine original lightly patinated condition.

The car is finished in traditional masons black with the paint being in good order. The front wings have both been repained to address areas of corrosion that were evident.

The best part of this car is in the actual driving of it. The engine runs in uncanny silence. The gear box is superb & the suspension soft & pliable making for a lovely driving experience. The Thrupp & Maberly sports saloon coachwork is very elegant indeed with a definite pre war feel to it and very spacious inside. All brightwork is in very fine order. This is a car wanting for nothing & ready for immediate extended use by the lucky new owner.
