1964 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III

Finished in Rolls-Royce Shell Grey over Silver Chalice Metallic, with Light Grey Leather Interior. Current owners since 2008.

We undertake over 50 wedding bookings each year with this car. At £495 per wedding, this could provide a worthwhile additional income for the new owner. (All the photos are from our company website)

The pandemic has brought significant long-term changes to the demands of our main full-time jobs (outside of the wedding industry) and with weddings re-starting, it has become very clear that we simply no longer have the time to undertake both. Reluctantly we must either reduce our future volume of wedding commitments or consider offering this elegant car for somebody else to enjoy.

There is a huge backlog of couples whose big-day has been postponed or who have put plans on-ice – Judging by the new enquiries that we are now receiving, it is going to be a very busy few years for weddings!

Restored In 2008

Brides love that they can travel without their dress becoming crumpled, as the front passenger seat pushes forward to maximise rear legroom. There are fold-down tables for champagne and they are easy to drive (automatic, power steering), very reliable and provide a great background for wedding photos.

We have used this car as a hugely popular wedding car since 2009. Professional maintenance and regular use means that I would confidently get in this car and undertake any journey.

Indeed, it has just been serviced and passed its MOT Test with NO Advisories.

Whilst in great, original condition when we bought her (benefiting from one owner from 1964 to 2000), nonetheless, we had all of the bodywork and interior thoroughly restored and the car presents beautifully.

The car has always more than earned its keep, which has enabled us to continuously invest in regular maintenance and care.

Copies of all maintenance invoices since 2008 will be provided to the new owner, showing over £35k invested.

It constantly receives positive comments and tends to quickly attract a crowd wanting selfies with the car!

The 6.2 V8 Engine is powerful and smooth, benefiting from a professional top-end overhaul in 2014, costing over £5800.

Great oil pressure with smooth gear-changes. These cars are actually better on fuel than you imagine too (although please don't expect 60mpg!!!)

Bodywork presents very well, with bright lustrous paint. All brightwork has been off and re-chromed.

Interior has good leather with carpets replaced during restoration. Original wood is in good condition, all present and free from damage. (One rear door capping would benefit from being removed and French-polished for a return to new condition)

The car benefits from discrete, sensible modern upgrades including electronic ignition, which make this car turn-key reliable.

Every penny spent on the car during our ownership has been documented and we used the pause in weddings due to Covid last year to undertake an extensive mechanical overhaul to prepare the car for many more years of use including;

Replace Oil, Oil Filter, Plugs, Replace Anti Roll Bar D Bushes, Replace N/S/F Wheel Bearing, Replace O/S/F Wheel Bearing, Replace N/S/F Kingpin, Replace N/S/F & O/S/F Upper Fulcrum, Replace Thermostat, Replace Power Steering Hose, Fit Steering Ram Seal Kit, Replace Wiper Blades, Repair minor corrosion on N/S/F Body Mount Number One, Rebuild O/S/F Wheel Cylinder, Replace Rocker Cover Gaskets, Replace Oil Pressure Sender, Replace 4 x Drive Belts, Adjust Front Suspension Camber & Set Tracking.

Any paint or rust spots have always been treated as soon as they appeared.

Good, slim-whitewall redial tyres all-around. (O/S/F Brand New)

Complete tools and handbook present.

It really is a beautiful Cloud that requires no investment to go straight to work or to provide many enjoyable miles of pleasurable classic motoring.

History

Delivered to the first owner in 1964 by dealer Rippon Bros. Their ownership lasted 36 years, only ending in 2000!

The next recorded keeper was a dealer, before passing to a couple in Dorset, from where we bought her, having been recommended the car by respected Rolls-Royce Technician, Richard Parsons.

Photos of the restoration work that we completed when we purchased the car in 2008, along with previous invoices are available.

Copies of the Chassis Cards and Original Build Sheets.

Every penny, job and mile covered since we purchased is fully documented and receipted.

The car has lived in a heated garage since we purchased her and as we used to offer her for wedding hire, has always been professionally serviced, valeted and kept in exceptional condition.

Payment & Inspection

The car is available for inspection prior to sale near Bristol/Bath. Please contact us via email if you have any questions or would like any further details.
