EXTERIOR
Well specified from the factory with the desirable 'X50' power upgrade and 'XAF' Aerokit, this 996 Turbo presents really well in Basalt Black Metallic. The paintwork is still notably sharp with only a dusting of light frontal stone chips to report on close inspection. The headlights also present to an excellent standard with none of the typical discolouration to speak of. The car is currently fitted with a standard Turbo front splitter, which is showing some wear to the lower edge. Mesh grilles have also been installed in front of the condensers as a preventative measure against stone chips.

INTERIOR
The heated Sports seats are upholstered in soft black leather, a perfect complement to the exterior paintwork. The upholstery has worn really well given the mileage, even to the driver's bolster, the leather still retaining a lovely matte sheen throughout. Looking closely there are just a few small marks along the centre console showing the car's honesty. Everything works just as it should, including the air con, which has just been fully serviced. Pleasingly the original PCM head unit remains in place as does the factory telephone handset.

ENGINE
The twin-turbocharged flat-six starts first turn of the key and idles up to temperature without fuss. Factory spec'd with the sought after X50 power upgrade the engine produces 450hp, turning heads from 0-60mph in under 4 seconds - and on to over 200mph! Power is transferred to all four wheels via the Tiptronic S transmission, offering the ease of an automatic with the dynamic control of a manual.

The car is accompanied by an excellent maintenance history with 12 stamps in the service booklet. The last service was a major service carried out at 77k miles. Since arriving with us the car has been fully inspected, and a fresh service will be carried out upon sale for the new keeper's peace of mind.

WHEELS
The original 18-inch Turbo alloys present in good condition although given a few age-related marks a real perfectionist may choose to refurb. They are shod in a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Sport tyres that have only just been fitted at the current mileage. On test the brakes feel strong, and between the spokes the red Porsche calipers still look great with no major wear or lacquer peel to report.

HISTORY FILE
First registered in June 2003 this superb X50 996 Turbo has driven just 79k miles from new. The History File is complete with the original Porsche document wallet, owners' manuals, and service booklet stamped with 12 entries. The last major service was carried out at 77,215 miles. Since arriving at 4 Star the car has been fully inspected, the AC re-gassed, and new tyres have been fitted all round. A fresh service will be carried out upon sale.
