Seller's NotesThe truck runs and drives excellent. It was built to travel all of Route 66 in 2020. The trip never happened due to covid and severe life changes has forced me to sell.

Vehicle Details

1948 Dodge Truck in excellent condition. Only 700 miles on build. Life changes are forcing the sell of this beautiful machine. A lot has been done to it. I will try and list everything. Thanks for looking!!Body: cab chopped 3”, lengthened 10”. 1956 crown Victoria dash with specially instrument gauges. Power windows. Center console from Mopar a body. Power and heated seats from Tahoe. (seats need to be wired still for heat) Stereo to look like tach on center console. Is bluetooth. Speakers hidden in doors. Vintage air heat and ac. Flaming river tilt column. 2 speed power wipers. Doors lock with key. Lokar shifter and gas pedal. Tinted glass.Bed: custom made using stock dodge sides and ends with 1970's Chevy bed floor. Inner fenders made. Outer fenders are 1950 Chevy with Cadillac tail lights frenched in. 1949 truck license plate.Front end body: stretched to fit engine and suspension. Hood stretched. Frenched in headlights and Cadillac running lights.Running boards custom made from 2 sets of factory dodge running boards. Custom mounted to Chevy rear fenders.Suspension: Chevy s10 frame with 4 link rear and accuair air ride front and back with controls inside. Can drop truck down to the running boards and still drive. Stops were installed for this reason. Front s10 extreme sway bar. Rear is Chevy 10 bolt differential with 3.42 gears open diff. Brakes are 4 wheel power disc with slotted rotors. Will stop very well. Calipers are powder coated red. All brake lines are stainless braided with AN fittings. Engine is 1970 dodge 440 .030 over 4bbl with custom headers. Roller rockers and moderate cam. 10:1 compression. Guessing around 475 hp pretty easy. Engine has March pulley and bracket system. Power steering and ac and gm alternator. Vintage Mopar branded elderbrock intake manifold. (Very rare) and mopar performance valve covers. Holley 670 street avenger carb. Custom wiring kit through truck. All done extremely well. HVAC uses bulkheads in fire wall for clean look. Custom inner fender made to keep engine clean. Aluminum 3 core radiator with condenser and electric fan. Electric fan has a thermostat switch.Fuel tank is dual 15.5 gal beer kegs plumbed under cab. Electric fuel pump. Set up to be changed to FI very easily if you wanted.Trans is new 727 with shift kit. Lokar kick down linkages.Interior of cab has sound deadening all over and fresh carpet. Head liner has been started. Sound deadening on inside of roof panel. Inside of the doors also has sound deadening. Nice and quiet inside until you mash on the gas lol. Exhaust 2 into one, then 3" down length of truck then split out again for dual exhaust. Makes for a mean throaty sound that grabs your attention. Wheels are Torque thrust and tires are new. Special caps made to hide bearing caps in the front and matched in the rear. It is a nice touch. Hitch is installed and a 7 pin and 4 pin connector are installed. Those still need to be wired up. The truck has towed a 2000 pound trailer just fine. All the body work has been done. Truck has been painted in layers so it can be sanded down to look like this. Then a matte clear coat was sprayed over to keep it looking good. There are 4 layers of paint in case the new owner wants more patina. The colors go Gray, Brown, Black, then Blue and clear.
