This 1970 Mk 3 was built by a skilled engineer over 30 years ago with the idea of having the ultimate turbo track/fast road car. Originally acquiring the Mk 3 from just its 2 nd owner it was mated to an MG metro turbo engine to create the car you see here. Tuned and fettled over 30 years with the engine completely rebuilt to a massive specification this really is a seriously quick and fun car! The car was designed to be easy to work on both at and away from the track with the aid of quick release bonnet, boot, and grill giving you great access for onsite adjustments. This car has been built to a very high specification so I have listed the major points below. I purchased this car about 6 months ago with the intention of doing some shows and track days. Having completely gone through and refreshed the car, it was decided to give it a new look of a period group 2 racer! A real head turner and great fun on the road or track this car is a great all rounder. Unfortunately a change in circumstance means she won't be used as much as I would have liked hence the sale. Fast road cam, Polished con rods, competition bolts, Omega forged dished pistons

Regrounded and balanced Knife edged crank, Lightened Flywheel & pressure plate

Centre strap on main.

Gas flowed head with phosphorous bronze valve guides,

11 bolt APR head studs. 33 mm inlet valves, uprated valve springs
