This beautiful looking 1976MGB Roadsterwas the pride and joy of its previous custodian for some 13+ years, or should I say it was at the start those years until he laid her up in his garage around 10 years ago. She was originally a GT V8 however the body had seen better days so he set about finding a replacement Roadster body and commissioned a company to do the required swapping of the interior / running gear / etc and renewing bits along the way. He also treated her to a fresh coat of paint upon competition of the swap, however the prep mustn't have been up to his standards as some time later he started to realise imperfections appearing, so he set about stripping the car down and having her repainted. Unfortunately he only managed to get her partially reassembled before ill health and time constraints meant that she sat in his garage in this partially assembled form for around the last 10 years.

As you can no doubt see from the photos above she has recently been treated to a few new parts and cosmetically still looks totally usable as-is. She is not currently going to win you any shows as she has picked up paint and body imperfections over her time in storage which you may wish to attend to but on the whole she appears fundamentally quite solid.

On getting her back to the farm we set about getting her running again. To our surprise with just a little tinkering and tapping here and there she roared back into life and sounded remarkably well considering her time spent in storage.

I would say this beautiful little British classic is the perfect candidate for the home enthusiast. A good going over/recommissioning would obviously be required before returning her back to the open roads and she also currently has a few items requiring fixing / replacing / fitting. After this it's up to you as to how far you want to go with the cosmetics.

This Roadster will be an absolute bargain and a joy for someone, especially as I am seeking nowhere near the 28k you see some top examples advertised for. In fact, this could be a perfect little investment opportunity, so take this as your lucky day if you're in the market for one of these beautiful and desirable little gems but haven't quite got the funds to stretch to the 28k required for a top example.

In summary (and in my opinion) this is a beautifullooking car that starts, moves and stops butdue to long term storage I wouldstrongly suggest a good going over/service/tune-up of all vulnerable and moving parts before returning her back to the open roads as she has not been used for some time now and it would just be darn right silly not to in my opinion.

All our cars are sold `as seen` so please feel free to come and view `beforehand` to make sure you will be totally happy with your purchase once bought.

I am very keen to sell hence I have set a very realistic and easily achievable reserve especially considering their increasing values.

If you have a genuine interest/offer, and you are prepared to back it up, then I'm sure it could be sorted between you, myself and eBay.

I hope I have covered most things but please feel free to ask as many questions as you like as one would expect this with a rare car like this.

Thank you for looking
