Absolutely stunning example of this rare and sort after car
This car has only covered 43 k miles and is in lovely condition inside and out
One of only 991 models ever produced
Undoubtedly a sound investment and future classic
Top of the XJ 40 performance tree sat Jaguar Sport's XJR. With uprated suspension (including revised Bilstein dampers), weightier steering and a tuned engine (251 bhp and 278 lb ft torque, thank you very much) it had a fair bit more about it than its standard brethren.
Not only could it devour the 0-60 mph sprint in 7.7 secs, on its way to a top speed 146 mph, its handling was also in a different class. Factor in cosmetic tweaks of a sporting nature and the XJR had kudos aplenty.
Survivors of this generation are rare indeed with many driven into the ground. When you consider that Jaguar only made 991 4.0-litre XJR examples that makes this fine low mileage example exceedingly rare.
The previous owners Jaguar specialist has misplaced the fully stamped service book, however there is written testament from the last owner of its service history along with the last service invoice totalling £1500
The condition of this vehicle inside and out speaks volumes, must be the best available
