1967 Ford Galaxie XL 500 390Ci 6.4L

1967 Ford Galaxie 390 Cubic inch 6.4L FE Series engine with C6 Auto gearbox. 

Lovely cruising drive anywhere car, has been totaly reliable in my ownership only selling as we are just about to complete on a new house and without altering the garage it is not going to fit!

In the last couple of years the car has had the following work/parts.

New roof (works perfectly)

New windsreen (fitted in the States just before it came over approx 4 years ago)

Plugs.

Points.

HT leads.

Dis/Cad & rotor arm.

OIl & Filter.

Air filter.

Valve cover gaskets.

Alt & Power stering belt.

Fuel pump.

Battery & leads.

6 X brass engine core plugs (engine was removed to fit these properly)

Starter solenoid.

Torque convertor oil seal.

Gearbox sump gasket, oil & filter.

Coolant thermostat/Anti freeze.

Top & Bottom radiator hoses.

4 x Wheel cylinders.

Flex hoses x 6.

Master cylinder.

Metal pipes all replaced front & rear.

Brake shoes frint and rear.

Brake drums (front)

Shock absorbers x 4

Front ball joints x 4

Anti roll bushes x 4 (front)

Fuel tank guage sender unit.

Head light switch. 4 x road wheels blasted and powder coated.

4 x whitewall tyres.

Everything works with the exception of the radio(there is a more modern one fitted under the dashboard out of view but I have never used it)

Its not perfect but it is a lovely car to cruise in. It is fitted with a 9 inch rear axle which makes for effortless cruising.

Would be interested in a slightly smaller Yank or other classic or maybe a Harley but cash sale prefered.

Please bare in mind when considering storing the car it is 5410mm/213 inches long and 2007mm/73 inches wide.

Please feel free to msg me for my contact tel number I would much rather talk than answer endless messages. Befrore you ask I have no idea what MPG it does. The fuel guage is accurate and to me it doesnt seem that bad on fuel at all. It is certainley better than my V8 pertrol Range Rover!
