Here up for sale I have my 1988 Ford escort rs turbo.

It is with a heavy heart that I'm selling but due to lack of storage and also time to finish her I think it's better to let someone else enjoy and finish.

Only silly odd jobs left to be finished and the mot expired 2 weeks ago.

Really nice car which gets so much attention whereever it goes.

The car was painted murcury grey 2 years ago but I wasn't happy with the job so I stripped the car down to bare shell and started to restore it and make it exactly what I wanted.

Whilst the car was stripped and off for paint the lockup was broken into and my interior and engine were both stolen  so rather than buying these again to replace I decided to keep the interior stripped out and purchased 2 new sparco reclining bucket seats and runners. I do still have all the original trim to put it back to standard inside minus the seats. Whilst at this stage I put a race alloy fuel tank in the boot in the spare wheel well along with high output inlinefuel pump and filter and braided fuel lines running through inside. I then went down the road of the 2.0 zetec blacktop engine but obviously knew it needed more power than that so the engine spec is as follows.... 2.0 blacktop zetec motor on decompression plate with a tubular turbo exhaust manifold mounted along with T3 t04e ar80 turbo. Green giant Ford 440cc injectors. Aem EUGO Air fuel ratio gauge and lambda which I've litterally just fitted. 2 1/2inch Front mount intercooler, alloy radiator and reversed water pump. The gearbox I went with is the IB5 diesel box with Lsd so should put the power down nicely. Engine has obviously had full service with bosch spark plugs and fresh oil and filters etc after the build so nothing to worry about there. The car is running megasquirt 2 STANDALONE management and is all ready for mapping. The fuel pump is the only last thing to wire directly to ecu as I have it currently just on a permanent switch on the dash control panel for whilst I've been getting everything working...

The car currently fires, but won't run and drive as still needs mapping. Just big pops and bangs when turning her over. If your knowledged on tuning you can do this yourself if not like in my case bailey motorsports in Telford has been highly recommended for megasquirt management and zetec turbos being setup. set to run 300bhp safely but it seems common that people are pushing 350bhp +

Finally exterior... Freshly resprayed white and in my oppinion looks spot on. Could do with a polish but who won't enjoy polishing there new turbo on a weekend
