MATCHING NUMBER RS TURBO S1

For sale excellent condition matching number C REG s1 RS turbo professionally fully restored to excellent condition in 2005 with some pictures. The car has done 160k miles some service stamps in book from 90s , receipts and nearly all old mots and tax discs . Owned since 2004 been in storage last 7 years and covered less than 1000 miles since 2006. 13 previous keepers.

The car has just had some new parts fitted to get back on the road ecu temperature sensor, Bosch fuel pump, fuel tank, Bosch standard injectors, genuine oil filter, Castrol racing supercar oil 10/60, cambelt , plugs has k&n panel filter fitted. Standard spec shocks and springs along with a new set of powerflex heritage range bushes and front track control arms.

The car drives very well and still pulls well through all gears, however would probably benefit from a professional engine tune to check fuelling, air and boost as has been stored for quite a while. The engine was fully rebuilt by Harvey Gibbs in 2002 and has covered 10k miles since, it was low comp spec and is still as quiet as the day it was built, a new clutch, alternator and various other parts were fitted during the restoration. New bronze tint windscreen.

The car had a full comprehensive restoration in 2005 which included replacing the following panels.

Genuine ford panels both rear quarters, both front wings, front panel, scuttle panel, front and rear bumpers.

Non genuine panels both inner rear arches, rear panel, front cross member, front inner wings.

All panels were professionally fitted and spot welded to match original finish as close as possible. The car was fully 2 pack primed, blocked off and then painted in top spec paint in a paint booth, the boot and engine bays were also painted. The underside was coated in 3m shutz and the underpinnings removed sand blasted and painted black. The body kit was refitted with the correct genuine white rivets, genuine tow eye cover, the car has been very well wax oiled.

The front discs, callipers, rear wheel cylinders, shoes have been replaced with new, goodridge braided hoses fitted, new genuine ford master cylinder and brake servo were also fitted and new set of genuine ford chrome wheel bolts, new steering rack and rod ends, new Bosch battery.

The interior is also very good, the dash has a couple of small cracks about 2cm long not too bad but is nearly impossible to find mk3 escort un-cracked dashboards now, this is the cars original dashboard, non sagging parcel shelf with speakers and loom, seats are very good very slight wear to drivers upper bolster, standard radio. Toad alarm immobiliser fitted.

The engine is the original unit matching number, does have an alloy coolant radiator painted in satin black to look original. Also new heater matrix fitted.

Magnex stainless exhaust fitted.

Wheels have Yokohama a539 tyres that were fitted when restored they are still in perfect condition, the spare in the boot still has its jack kit fitted.

This is a stunning genuine escort RS turbo s1 it does have high mileage but is in fantastic condition and everything has been replaced, it is as good as the pictures and better, they are rising in value fast and project cars are fetching 20k now. sensible offers will be considered.
