w113 1967 mercedes pagoda 250sl classic car

Here we have an original left hand drive manual 1967 250sl Mercedes with power steering.   The chassis no is w11304310001330 and the colour code is H716.   It was first registered in California with registration VFA365 and it has matching numbers.   It still shows signs of the notches and has the original spot welds inside the wings. This is a rust free original chassis and is fully documented from day one.   It had its first service at a Mercedes dealership at 314 miles and right through the entire life of the car. It is a 2 owner car with the first owner  being  Dr Magdi Ghaleb.  He purchased the car in 1967 and sold it a year later to R. A Hartunian who also resided in California.   I decided to do some research on this owner and it turns out that he was  a Director of Aerodynamics and Propulsion Research Laboratory who worked for Aerospace Corp for Space Systems Div Los Angeles.   He wrote many books and articles and was responsible in part of developing the space rocket re-entry system. Made for some very interesting reading and also adds to the history of the car.   He moved in 2002 to Las Vegas taking the car with him and sadly passed away in 2009.   He owned this car from March 1968. kept it serviced and fully documented.   It has a huge service history file showing receipts in his name all the way through.   You will see the sheer size of the history file in the photos. it certainly makes interesting reading.   One of the invoices shows that some work  was done under warranty from the dealership.   The total mileage on this car is 177. 00 which can be fully accounted for through the service history.   Most of these cars that are on sale claim accurate mileage but these clocks start back at zero once they have reached 100. 00 miles.   You will see that most people state ‘they believe' the mileage to be accurate. but without service history this can never be verified.

The car is a totally original car.   The interior is original and I have checked this through the datacard.   It also still has the original plastic covering matt in the trunk and spare wheel with the original wheelcover on it.  All colours are correct and the original materials are still in very good condition. The tank has been cleaned and the fuel pump replaced with a new one as seen in pictures. The car is now fully registered in my name here in the UK with theV5 present.   It is taxed and ready to be driven and enjoyed. It has a clean MOT with no advisories with just two bolts required for the pre Mot which were purchased from Shaun Zealey at Mercedes in Poole Dorset.  Part Nos MA1103300218. I have also replaced the air filter. oil filter. oil change and new plugs.   I have the Mercedes invoices to go with this. This car has both hard and soft tops. Last week I had a new soft top put on the car as you will see in the pictures. The hard top is in excellent condition with good paint.   The car also comes with the original tool kit with nearly all tools being present and two sets of keys.  Everything works and drives as it should nice and straight with smooth gear changes.

The only down side of this car is no original radio and the paint is very flat and in my honest opinion would benefit from a re-spray to bring it back to its shinning glory.  You can enjoy this car just as it is with only doing some detailing. It is a very clean and honest car with a fantastic  service history file spanning  cars life which makes it a rare car indeed.

7. As stated full history file from very first day starting from first owner. Not a service book fully stamped with no invoices to back up service book or mileage as anyone could do this. The service history is huge like stated and seen in pictures confirming reg no and name address all way through.

8. Yes i will consider offer within reason nothing silly. car has to be seen and history file looked at to fully appreciate how unique it is. Have not seen that many Pagodas in my time where you can fully verify the mileage and see how well the car has been cared and looked after. In my experience owning classic cars with no history and with no documented file will make or break the bank account and your investment.

9. Yes that is the original Air con unit fitted. It has also recharged and fully working.

10. Have uploaded picture of engine bay few people asked to see. The hood has its original 3 digit matching number stamped up in the left hand corner.
