SELLER REMARKS

The Pontiac GTO resonates with so many car fans simply because it was a car that could be anything. Street brawler. racer. or grown-up performance machine. cars like this 1967 Pontiac GTO hardtop were up for it. Wearing a handsome older restoration and a great color combination. this cool Goat is one machine you'll be looking forward to driving every chance you get.

Code G Signet Gold is this car's original color. and unusual hues like this are always a favorite. Sure. there are plenty of car guys out there who prefer the ordinary black and red. but if you're the guy who likes to stand out. this car will do it. It was painted a few years ago. so it still looks great and there's just no way to avoid being recognized when you're out driving. You could nit-pick the finish at a molecular level. but even from three feet away. this sucker looks great. There's an appropriate shine to the surface and great bodywork underneath. including good gaps all around and super straight quarters. There are many who think the '67 is the most handsome of all GTOs. with its swooping bodywork. stacked headlights. and clean profile. It also offers a long-term ownership history in Texas. meaning that rust is not an issue here and this car was not resurrected from the dead. Instead. it's been loved. improved. and enjoyed just the way GM intended.

The interior is likewise restored in the correct code 223 black vinyl and we have to admit that it looks pretty dressed up. Buckets and a console are GTO staples and plenty of faux woodgrain (plus that beautiful steering wheel) makes it look upscale. It appears that the seats. door panels. and carpets were new a few years ago. probably when the car was painted. and it all still looks good today. For the most part it's stock. although someone thoughtfully added a trio of auxiliary gauges under the dash to keep an eye on the engine. since even the GTO came with only basic gauges. The hood mounted tach is a great touch as well.

It's worth noting that the clock keeps good time and while not currently functioning. this car comes with factory A/C. Other niceties like power steering and brakes are welcome options as well. The original AM radio is in the dash but a modern AM/FM/CD stereo head unit hangs underneath. a smart upgrade that preserves the originality. And the trunk is neatly finished with gray spatter paint and a full-sized spare with cover.

The 400 cubic inch V 8 under the hood isn't this car's original engine. but it's a correct 1967 YD coded block for an A/C car. The 9654 miles shown on the odometer is since the engine and gauges were rebuilt. and when it was assembled. they used an upgraded cam to give it a bit of a lope. Externally. you can see an Edelbrock carburetor under the louvered air cleaner and an aluminum radiator up front. but that's about it for mods. Chrome valve covers. Pontiac Turquoise paint on the block. and recent ignition parts give it a performance look. There's a robust TH 400 3-speed automatic living behind it. complete with a dual-gate shifter. and we have to say that a GTO with a lot of torque and an automatic is still a formidable machine. The dual exhaust has a great rumble and it sits right on factory Rally wheels and fat 225/70/15 redline radials for a period-perfect look.

So if you like a little luxury with your performance. this GTO delivers. Pontiac fans know why these cars are special. so give us a call and find out how to get it home!
