1986 GMC Caballero for sale
Current customer rating:
Its time to empty my driveway a bit.
I'm selling Bandito Bob - my 1986 Caballero. which is like the El Camino.
This thing was made when a car wasn't afraid to be a truck! Its a bit of a collection of odd parts.
It has a hood scoop from a 83 Hurst Olds.
Wheels from a 1984 Grand National.
Seats from a 87 Cutlass.
Monte SS dash parts.
A new steering wheel.
Mileage is over 100 K to the best of my knowledge.
The car is extremely solid.
Doors have been replaced.
Quarters have been replaced.
The bed is so solid. that when it rains. it will hold water in the back.
If anything can be said of the exterior. is that it is a 8 out of 10 for paint.
It looks great from 5 feet away. but when you look at it. you can see that some work is needed to make this a show car.
Interior. as noted. it is a collection of misc. parts. but in reality it is very solid.
it would not take much to really make inside really nice.
Motor is the original 305.
It is the weakest part of the car. It smokes a touch.
It runs. it moves the car.
Its smooth and it has run very reliably since I've had the car.
you can see a touch of upper motor work was done. with a new carb. distributor. intake. and dress up.
Brakes and exhaust are new.
Exhaust needs to be tightened up.
I've tried to represent the car fairly.
As you can tell. this is not perfect.
At the same time. I wouldn't be afraid of hopping in and driving it 100 miles down the road to visit family.
It always gets some looks.
Its definitely unique.
Bandito Bob has been a member of the family for a few years and its time to find a new home!
Note: Car is for sale locally.
Auction may end at any time at my discretion.
Bidders with 0 feedback will need to contact me before bidding.
Auction is no reserve.
Deposit is required via Paypal within 3 days.
full payment and pickup to be within 7 days.
I'm willing to work with someone if 7 days doesn't work. but those arrangements need to be made prior to auction end.
