Here we have a lovely black bug which has been very well looked after and has had lots of money spent on it by previous owner to bring it up to scratch.
It has had a complete new rear luggage area welded in. as well as new rear inner arches. bumper mounts. rear valance and engine bay side trays. All done professionally to a very high standard. All the engine bay seals have been replaced as well. The last photo is of the luggage area. I will try and get some better pics of the new metalwork tomorrow.
It has also had a new drivers door. and the A post bottom was replaced at the same time.
The paintwork is very nice in general. although there are a couple of minor scuffs on the drivers side rear wing. and a dull patch on the front wing just below the filler flap where it looks like its had a touch up at some point. its not noticeable unless you get close up though. Looks great when polished up.
The engine is in great shape as well. it has no end float and runs great. It has just had new pushrod tubes and quality German seals (Elring) so no oil leaks. It has also been updated with electronic ignition and it really does start on the button first time. every time. All the cooling flaps and thermostat are present and working which is a rarity these days. it also benefits from having the correct original VW air filter so no icing up problems in winter.
It drives very well and as the suspension is bog standard it floats over the bumps. That said. if you prefer the Cal Look thing I would be happy to fit drop spindles on the front to bring it down a bit.
I am not sure what the front seats are from but they are a great fit in the Beetle. they actually feel like they are a factory option as the position is spot on. really comfortable as well. Obviously fully adjustable and tilt forward to allow rear seat access.
There are rear seat belts fitted.
All in all this is a great little car and would make a great first bug or Cal looker with a bit of lowering.
