DESCRIPTION IS TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE FROM INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH THE COURSE OF OWNING THIS CAR

This is a St. Louis built 1957 Bel Air convertible that was born June 3 rd. 1957. The car was originally a 235 inline six with a three speed. but was swapped for a '59 283 Powerpack engine in the mid sixties. Although the engine was swapped. the three speed manual transmission was retained and it shifts wonderfully. All that power is fed to a genuine Posi-Traction rear end. This combination makes this car a true beast!

The car was frame off restored in 1991 in Illionis. and has since been very carefully taken care of. When restored. she was repainted to her correct numbers matching Onyx Black and the interior was reupholstered with the original style red and silver vinyl. The car also received a new black top. and the Power Top retraction/extension works wonderfully. Every gauge and light works as it should on the car. as well as the horn. The radio in the car switches on but does not currently function.

Recently a few upgrades were made to complete 1960's hot rod flare. A brand new Tri-Power setup was installed with a genuine Edelbrock intake and three Speedway 9 super 7 carburetors which make the 283 scream! In addition. an old school Mallory dual points distributor was added to make the ignition system even hotter. The car was lowered 2-1/2" in the front. and four brand new Firestone 7. 50-14 whitewalls were installed. The tires have less than 300 miles on them. The car also received a brand new Desert Cooler Optima radiator and she sure does run cool!

This '57 is truly a rocket. It screams 1962 and takes you back to the days when hot rods ruled the streets. With all of that being said. if hot rod is not your thing. you are still covered. Included with the car is the original Carter 4 bbl carburetor. oil bath air cleaner. and factory intake manifold. Also included are freshly painted matched fender skirts. stock height coil springs. the original distributor. and a new custom fit California Car Cover.

Good solid convertibles are getting harder and harder to find everyday. If you have been wanting to find a good no B. S. car then here it is. This car will come with a fresh alignment! Buyer arranges vehicle shipping.
