So while all Cobras look like they are completion-focused. this 1966 Shelby Backdraft Racing Cobra is the one you'll use to dominate your next track day.

When you envision building your ideal Cobra. this is the first picture your mind will always go to.

The deep Indigo Blue with white painted dual racing stripes is as much a part of the icon as the curvy roadster body.

And the combination of the high luster hue highlighting all the rounded panels is what makes every enthusiast fall in love instantly.

It also helps that Backdraft offers one of the highest quality bodies in the Cobra industry.

That's why the fit and finish on this particular car is worthy of all the extra scrutiny it's likely to get at shows. It's set up as an SC. so it has the flares. the jacking stubs instead of bumpers. chrome roll hoop. and all the other fixtures that define the Cobra today. And the one we know you love the most are those iconic ten-spoke Halibrand-style wheels.

The interior definitely gets the Shelby attitude right with wrap-around buckets and the three spoke wood steering wheel. It even has the reversed Mustang gearstick like a proper Cobra is supposed to have.

The full VDO gauge package is critical if you're using your Cobra on the track. and quite frankly. you'll love watching all of them dance even if you're just on the highway.

There's no radio. no heater. no A/C this was built to maximize the driving experience and nothing else needs to get in the way.

Sure. the Cobra air topper and valve covers in the engine bay will certainly attract crowds. but a Cobra's primary mission is to be the fastest sports car around.

That's why beneath the flash is the substance of a 427 V 8 that's been enhanced with dual Holley four-barrel carburetors. MSD ignition. a Miledon extra-large oil pan. and long tube headers that feed the thunderous side pipes.

All this power is only at its best when you have the right components to control it.

That's why you get a stout Borg Warner T 10 four-speed feeding the BMW rear differential.

On the road or racetrack. you'll instantly feel the confidence the fully independent suspension gives you.

In front. it's a cast lower wishbone with a Mc Pherson-style coil over strut and adjustable stabilizer bar. and the rear. there's has an adjustable multilink rear setup supplied by BMW.

Plus. the modern grip of the Nitto Extreme ZR tires is backed up at each wheel with disc brakes.

TERMS OF SALE

Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

A $500 Paypal deposit is required immediately upon selecting the Buy-It-Now option. The $500 Paypal deposit is non-refundable as ending an e Bay auction and not buying the vehicle is very damaging to the seller. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Streetside Classic Cars and are not guaranteed.

If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred). cashier's check. or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).
