Seller's notes: Pan off restoration in 2009. Was driven by my daughter in high school. Paint has a few nicks and isn't as bright as when it was new, but still looks great. She only put around 3,000 - 4,000 miles on it since restoration. Dash had cracks, so I installed a "DASHTOPPER" over the original dash. You can see in the photo where the edge close to the windshield is curling due to the heat. I also have the car listed locally, therefore I reserve the right to remove it from Ebay if it sells locally,

Sale type: Fixed price listing

This car was bought new in Southern California and has remained here in the desert. The car was in storage since around 1980 until I acquired it in the early to mid 1990's. I can't remember exactly when I got it. But I didn't restore it until 2009. The motor had a couple of burned pistons. That is why the car was parked. I was told when I got the car. that the mileage could be original. at around 25. 00. I can't prove it. but since the car had been in storage since around 1980. And since it has the original seats that aren't worn. ripped or torn. I thought that it possibly could be the original mileage. The car also has the original fuel injected motor and transaxle. Both have been rebuilt to factory specs. I replaced the shifter bushings with urethane bushings so the shifter is much more precise. The car also has the rare Rack and Pinion Steering option. I also added urethane bushings when rebuilding the suspension.  This was a "Pan-Off" restoration with new full floor pans installed. This was the only rust area on the car. All new rubber seals and gaskets were installed. New black convertible top with padding and white headliner was installed. The top has only been down about 5 or 6 times. All new door panels. front seat belts and carpet were installed. I installed a small tachometer to the left side of the dash to help my daughter know when to shift. It looks like it could have come from the factory I believe. It has new front struts and rear shocks. I also installed a front strut tower brace and a rear Anti-Sway bar for better stability. It has the original "Riviera" style wheels that came with the car. The tires have about 300 miles on them.  I replaced the entire fuel system from the fuel tank to the engine. Including the pump. nbsp;sending unit and fuel gauge. I also installed a spin-on fuel filter in the engine bay before the injectors. Every item in the fuel injection system was diagnosed. and if needed. it was replaced. The car starts and runs great. I also added an extra capacity oil pan addition for extra oil capacity. The bumpers are original so the rubber strips show a little age but no tears or chunks missing. All the windows are tinted. The stereo is a new "RETROSOUND" with aux port for external music. After the restoration was complete. the car won second place in the "2010 TREFFEN" car show in Oxnard California. This car has never been in an accident. There is absolutely no signs of previous damage. I recently removed the restrictive "California Compliant exhaust" and replaced it with a header and free flowing muffler that is tucked away inside the right rear fender. I have the original style exhaust. which is new) catalytic converter and muffler that will go with the car. There is a convertible top boot that covers the top when it is down that has never been installed. I can't list everything that was new. but I have a box of receipts that will accompany the car. I built this car to keep. That is why everything was done. But I need to thin the herd. So now it is for sale. Whoever buys this will not be disappointed. Everything works the way it should.  If you have any questions. don't hesitate to ask before bidding. Like I said before. The paint is a few years old now so there are a few small nicks. and the pink isn't as bright as it was. Also. the rubber on the running boards have a few nicks.  But it still looks good. This is a driver.
