Here we have a Mini 1000 City E that I have owned for the past 12 years. I bought it with the intention of restoring it. not realising it would take 9 years!!!!

I finally completed the restoration in 2009. the car has only done about 1200 miles since.

It was professionally resprayed in it's original colour except for the roof which was painted white.

The following parts were replaced with new items:-

Rear Subframe

Front Wings. Sills. Full Scuttle Panel. Apex Panels

All chrome including Bumpers. Locks. Door Handles. Mirrors. Grill etc.

Ultralite Alloys with Yokahama Tyres

Rear Brake Shoes. Cylinders. Hoses and Pipes

Water Pump

Heater Matrix

Exhaust

Clutch (LUK) and Oil Seal

All Shock Absorbers

Battery

I have replaced the seats and interior trim with Half Leather Seats and Red Carpet from a Mini Cooper.

The bodywork looks as good today as it did when it was resprayed 3 years ago. There is NO RUST anywhere and the paintwork gleams.

Now the bad bits:-

Small split in roof lining (about 3 cms) see pictures.

Very minor oil leak (all A-series engines do)

Small scratch on windscreen (caused by wiper) passenger side

Air vent on drivers side broken (cannot be closed)

I have tried to be as honest as possible-these are the ONLY faults. please come to view the car and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Mechanically the car is very sound and always starts first time.
