Plymouth "A-864" for sale
Current customer rating:
NO RESERVE
This is a recreation 1964 Plymouth Savoy Belvedere Race Hemi Super Stock.
ENGINE:
It is a very mild . 030 over 426 Hemi (68 block I believe) that runs on 93 octane. The heads are Street Hemi. The Cam is a Racer Brown Cam that makes the awesome Hemi sound at 2000-3000 rpms.
High volume oil pump. with an 8 quart pan and great oil pressure. It uses about a quart of oil every 500-600 miles.
Always has been a very reliable engine.
The fuel pump is a high performance carter and I've never run it out of gas. I have never took the car down the track!!! It was built to be a very good street car.
TRANSMISSION:
It is a 727 later model torqueflite with a Turbo Action 3000 converter. Turbo Action Manual Reverse Pattern Valve Body as well as a Turbo Action Cheetah SCS Gate Shifter.
REAR AXLE:
4:10 Dana! The springs are original and there is a helper spring!
COOLING:
Custom Built Aluminum Radiator with an automatic electric fan that comes on at 195.
I also have a manual override.
I got stuck in the loop on Woodward 8/18/13 and had to idle for about 20-25 minutes and I was at 195! Even on he hotest day it will go over 200 with long idle periods but even on a 95 degree day if it is driving it is cool!
EXHAUST:
I was able to use Street Hemi Exhaust Manifolds with Flow Master Mufflers - The pipes are not the nicest in appearance. But they make a great sound
OTHER COOL STUFF that sets this car apart:
The car was invited to the 2004 Eyes on Design at the Edsel Ford Estate - The sticker is still on the windshield.
1.
Hood Scoop - Original Aluminum Super Stock Scoop sits on the hood. /
2.
Race Hemi Air Cleaner & K&N Air Filter- This was a $2200 addition that I could not live without!
3.
The intake was an NOS 64 Aluminum Intake that I found - this car was/is my baby.
4.
Super Stock interior with a back seat to match the fronts!
5.
The Dash sports 3 delete plates - Radio. Transmission. and the unobtainable Heater Delete.
6.
The Single Headlight Super Stock Grill!
7.
Super Stock Battery in the trunk.
8.
Bolt on Gauge Panel with 4 Autometer Gauges and an AM/FM CD player with 2 Speakers in Dash - I had to have music!!!
It has about 2. 00 miles on the restoration - not sure how many on the vehicle.
The vehicle was painted in the 2000 time frame - I bought the body as a roller in paint.
The body is solid and makes a great appearance everywhere it goes! Once I had me the RED body I upgraded everything with the best I could find. I tried to recreate one of the nicest and driveable cars out there.
