Current customer rating:
1950 Ford Coupe
This is one good looking 50 Ford coupe.
It looks great in pictures and gets all kinds of thumbs up.
Unfortunately it still needs more work.
The paint looks super from a distance. but it will need to be color sanded.
I have invested quite a lot of money in this car. and am running out of two things: money and interest.
I have installed an air conditioner very recently but it has not yet been charged the car has been rewired and converted to an alternator and 12 volt.
It has new windows. windshields. the upholstery is very good.
I have receipts for most. but not all the work done to this car.
Also. I am sure the mileage is more than 77000 and the wide white walls are NO LONGER ON CAR. just the 1 inch whitewalls. they were those phony ones anyway.
The car is not where I want it to be. yet.
It needs the windlass installed. the carpets are in poor shape. the drivers seat back stop needs replaced. most of the chrome is good but a few pieces are pitted.
It need new rear wheel bearing ( I have the bearing. they are just not installed). the front u-joint needs replaced. the right king-pin needs rebuilt and it has some engine troubles.
In fact. it will most likely need a new engine.
This is a great candidate for a 302 conversion. which is my plan if the car doesn't sell.
That is a fairly easy and relatively inexpensive conversion.
With that said. I drove it over 400 miles from southern Oregon on April 2017.
It's far from a perfect car. but it looks good!
Thanks for looking.
