Very rare car full stop ! but probably the only right hand drive one anywhere !Manafactured in Michigan Detroit in 1951 and built to right hand drive specification. the Plymouth was then shipped to India to the only American car dealership at the time called Addison and Co Ltd. The owner of the dealership Mr Rangaswamy Mudaliar imported this amazing car for his own personal use. The car remained in the warm climate of India for the next 39 years. In 1991 imported to the UK by its second owner Mr David Green. The car sat unused for three years and then it was sold on to its third owner in 1994 ( Mr Jenkinson)Mr Jenkinson kept the car until 1998 when it was then sold on to a Mr Atherton who has recently spent nearly £2000 on re-commissioning and converting the car to a more reliable 12 volt system. This is an incredibly rare factory built right hand drive 6 cylinder 3 speed manual Plymouth P 20 special De- Luxe LWB which was the top of the range car in its day. Since purchasing the Plymouth I have taken it on a 100 mile trip and it runs very well. the temperature gauge and oil pressure readings remain consistent. The condition of the car is good but due to its age it has obviously had previous paintwork but overall it is wholly original and unrestored. The chromework is superb and complete. This is an amazing rare and collectable car which gets glances of admiration wherever it goes. Please feel free to come and view this vehicle before the auction ends.
