This car is the sought after 4 light Sportsman saloon version of the Rover P 2. It has a really solid chassis and is in good mechanical condition. The car had new sills. a recored radiator and an electrical fuel pump fitted when i purchasd it 5 years ago. Since then I have fitted 4 new tyres but only driven a 1000 miles in it. Prior to my purchase the car has had a 16 HP engine and a stainless steel exhaust fitted. It was also hand painted prior to purchase and the body now shows signs of filler and corrosion (see photos). The interior is scruffy(see photo) but useable. My father has also a rover p2. We dont know where the black button below the freewheel at the dahboard is working for (on the left underside). What is this button doing in your car? In our car, this button is not connection, so it isnt working. Can you help me?
