RELISTED FOR 3 DAYS TO ACCOMODATE  OVERSEAS BIDDERS SEEKING TO VIEW THIS WEEKEND
Those of you who have arrived at this listing almost certainly know what you are looking at. This is a rare right hand drive model of  "the Grosser" which many regard as the best car ever built by the German Marque. These vehicles were favoured by dictators. potentates. illionaires and celebrities all over the world. If you want to know more. just Google "600 Grosser"
If you turn up at a red carpet event or any 5 star hotel in a Black Grosser it will be this car. not the Rolls Phantoms. Bentley Mulsannes that people will crowd to see. and the door staff will move a couple of Phantoms from their parking spaces to make room for the star of the show!!
This particular example owned by my family since 2000. has been in dry storage since 2007. and is in the process of being recommissioned ready for the next owner. It has been part of a private collection which is now being dispersed due to bereavement. The vehicle has responded well to recommissioning. and will be ready for its mot in the next few days. During its storage. it has been regularly started and driven on private roads to keep everything running free. The vehicle is in generally very good condition. with the interior being the extremely rare beige velour which is in remarkable condition for the year. All the hydraulics and air suspension systems are fully operational. and the vehicle starts first time and drives with presence.
The vehicle is not a concours example and is now 50 years old and there are many small imperfections which a new owner may choose to remedy if desired. We have considered undertaking such works ourselves and then presenting the vehicle at a major auction house. however since this is an estate sale. and the fees at such auction houses apply to both buyer and seller we perceive it will provide better value to both buyer and seller to sell the vehicle as recommissioned with further work to the buyers choice as to how far they wish to go to take this to an outstanding example - so a rare opportunity for the true enthusiast  to purchase one of these amazing machines at a level normally denied to those other than speculators.
The vehicle will only be sold to a bidder who speaks with me in person and viewing the vehicle is recommended as you bid to buy and not haggle after the auction end. Bidders with less than 10 positive feedback must contact me first otherwise the bid will be removed. A deposit of £500 shall be paid by Paypal within 12 hours of auction end and the balance payable upon collection within 48 hours thereafter. Failure to comply with these requirements will be pursued vigorously through Ebay and otherwise.
Make no mistake. this vehicle will not be cheap. but I expect it will turn out to be good value compared with other examples recently sold by the major auction houses. The vehicle is not currently advertised elsewhere. however I reserve the right to withdraw the vehicle at any time as it is known to a number of marque collectors who have expressed interest - although we would prefer to sell to an enthusiast if there is adequate interest.
