It was bought in the Jacksonville FL area. Floors had been replaced and other work had been done:
New carpets - inside
Original carpet - front trunk
Correct factory Headliner
Targa top outer skin new
Targa inner skin new
Soft Window top original but restored with new zipper and plastic window
Exterior door / window / trim rubber seals replaced
Repainted (glass out) 4 years ago to a high standard in original Polo Red
New windshield
Seats have no cracks or separations
Dash is has no cracks or damage
Engine - bottom up rebuilt (was done in germany)
Original Weber Carburetors - rebuilt
SSI Heat Exchangers w/restored heater valves
Fuel Tank - removed / restored
Pedal Box - removed / restored
New Interstate Battery
New tires 165 HR 15 (2010)
NOS Bosch H 1 headlights w/relays
This matching numbers car has been nicely restored over the past decade to very very nice driver (#2 car) condition. It's currently setup to represent what a typical gentleman's weekend club / sports purpose car would have looked like in the late '60's. In its present state this is a 911 that will be admired at local and regional Porsche club events. gatherings and rallies. It represents what my friend thinks a true vintage 911 should be. FUN!
Collector info: Porsche produced a total of 718 softwindow 911's in 1967 128 were 911 S targas. the rest 130 HP cars. This was the first year of the targa. which makes these fairly rare.
The car is in Germany but the owner is relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area
