Vehicle Description:

Now up for sale is this 1971 Plymouth Road Runner is for sale in our Houston Showroom. This ’71 Road Runner came with a 440 cu in V 8 with a 3 speed 727 Torque Flight Transmission. This Big Block engine cranks out 385 hp 490 lb-ft tourque.

In 1971. the coupe bodywork was completely changed to a more rounded "fuselage" design in keeping with then-current Chrysler styling trends. including a steeply raked windshield. hidden cowl. and deeply inset grille and headlights. In a departure from previous thinking. the B-Body two-door bodies shared little if any sheet metal. glass. or trim with the four-door bodies. The 440+6 and 426 Hemi were available. though this would be the last year for them. The tall axle ratios with the 8 3/4" Chrysler and Dana 60 rear ends. as well as the wide and close ratio 4-speed transmissions could be had with any of the engine choices. though few cars were built with the six-pack or Hemi engines. Aerodynamics were much improved over the first generation Road Runners. resulting in much-improved high-speed handling.

This Road Runneris fast and fun to drive. The paint and interior are in excellent condition for driver quality. The engine compartment has been detailed and the upgrades include the aluminum radiator and all of the ignition components and wiring. This is a truly nice survivor bathed in black paint with black interior. The graphics on this ‘71 look really nice all the way around to identify this beast for the rare car that it is. This is a period correct big block Road Runner in excellent condition and it is priced to sell.

This beauty is located at our Houston location showroom and can be seen at or call for additional
