1968 Shelby Cobra GT 350
Any muscle car with Carroll Shelby's name on it is known to be an incredible driving machine. This original 1968 Shelby GT 350 is no exception and is even autographed by Carroll himself! A double digit rarity (# 0091 of 1. 53) this Shelby Mustang was designed for daily street use and is updated for even that occasional fun track day. Nothing but a joy drive this 8 T 02 J VIN GT 350 is historically documented in the current Shelby American Registery! The performance begins under the hood with the famous Shelby hi-riser aluminum intake manifold and dyno tuned Holley on top of the high performance 302 (original block is included) mated to long tube headers and sounding very healthy through the custom 3" exhaust system complete with Flowmaster mufflers and 3" exhaust tips.
In 1998. the engine was completely balanced and blueprinted by JBA Speed Shop who has maintained the Shelby for the owner for over 20 years. The MSD ignition. distributor and blaster coil allow for easy starts and clean revs through the original 4-speed Ford top-loader transmission. The original Ford 9" rear end assembly with 3. 50 axle ratio puts power to the asphalt via the original Ford traction-lok carrier and axles. mated to a 4-wheel disc Wilwood Brake conversion kit including power assist 4-piston aluminum calipers and HD rotors mounted to four 17"x 8" Shelby wheels (less than 1000 miles on low profile tires).
These upgrades provide great street machine stopping power. while the power steering and handling upgrades are accomplished with TCP tubular control arms combined with the R - model suspension upgrades.
