VOLKSWAGEN 2003 BEETLE

For sale a very special Volkswagen Beetle which was first registered on 1st August 2003. The car has been fitted with a pre-1967 body panel conversion consisting of new bonnet. & new engine lid plus new wings all round. new stainless-steel US-specification bumpers. new running boards. new lights all round. new wide chrome trim. wing mirrors. bonnet and engine handles. Inner wings and under-body areas have been protected using Hammerite Stone Chip and the wings themselves retained by stainless-steel fastenings. while the car has been fully repainted inside and out in VW silver metallic. Changes to the running gear include 2" narrowed front beam with height adjusters welded in; adjustable GAZ front shock absorbers; narrowed heavy-duty anti-roll bar with stainless clamps; and rear suspension lowered by one outer spline and fitted with KYB GR2 shock absorbers.  The 2. 2 litre auto linea engine was custom built by Bears Motorsport. It is fitted with twin 44mm Dell'Orto carburettors. stainless steel exhaust system and an oil cooler and filter. All parts are brand new the motor has been dynamometer tested. recording a maximum output of 145bhp.

 

The close ratio Racing gearbox was built by Bears Motorsport using uprated internals to cope with the engine's increased power and torque 

so this is one very fast bug and handles and is warm in the winter.
