I am a BMWCCA member and have been for the last 15 years. I own/collect several BMW's and bought this car last year with the intention of getting back into racing. but with 2 small children it won't happen any time soon so I figured I would sell this car so that someone can use it and start winning races again. I will list the complete ad from when I bought the car. I have not done anything to the car except for unload it from the truck and put fresh gas in it and start it. After that it went straight in my warehouse where it has been sitting for the last year and started occasionally. Please email me with questions and I will do my best to answer them.  Good luck.

 

BMW 1600 RACE CAR SCCA HSR GT3 LOG BOOKS Up for auction is a tricked out 1967 fuel injected BMW 1600 RACE CAR. This is a purpose built car with racing history going back to 1980. We believe the last driver to campaign the car was Dino Papanicolaou. The car has seen track time at Willow Springs. Laguna Seca. Sears Point as well as other well known venues. The car has recorded many class victories as well as strong showings overall. It has been in storage for several years now and would need to be completely gone through to have it ready for the track. The motor number is: 04552738. Transmission is a 1984 318i unit. The car appears to be accident and rust free. The car comes with a clear California title.
