I am selling my 1981 Westfalia . It was purchased from and estate . as owned by an older couple who owned and cared for it . Until one of them passed away . It was then stored in there airplane hanger until it was purchased by my friend .

The odometer shows 86. 00 miles . The speedo isn't accurate so Im not sure on the actual mileage. It features a 2. 0L fuel injected air cooled engine and automatic transmission . It starts and runs very smooth and shifts very smooth and nice going down the road . Drives nice and straight . I have owned a lot of VW campers . but never an automatic . I have to say it is so smooth it almost doesn't even feel like a vw . I replaced the fuel lines recently and gave it a little tune up . It runs very well .

It is equipped with all the standard Westfalia gear . stove . ridge . upper and lower beds . canvas is in good shape .  Front seats swivel around . The upper bunk could use a little airing out and a cleaning . I don't think the top has been up in many years .   It does have new tires .

The body is extremely clean for the year . Its never been wrecked and still in its factory original paint . One key works in all the doors . Previous owner made custom snap in window shades for privacy when camping . but also has the original curtains . Overall this is a very clean westfalia . And the fact that its an automatic I kinda feel is pretty rare . Most I see are manual transmission.

If you looking for a fun little camper at a fair price this just might be it .

If you have questions on the title please contact me . I have can send you a link to a full carfax report . Apparently in 1995 the van was stolen in California and a few months later was recovered . The insurance company had paid the claim on the van . So I assume at that point the brand on the title happened . There is a Vin number plate in the door jam issued by California . Although the salvage brand is not on my Washington state title . My ad was deleted off this site because I stated the title was clear .

If you are a 0 rated bidder . please contact me prior to bidding . Remember you are bidding with full intentions of purchasing this vehicle . This is a 1981 Vehicle and is being sold in asis condition . I can help a buyer find a shipping company . But the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with the transport of this vehicle . Winner of this auction a $1. 00 deposit is required within 24 hrs of auction close . And full payment within 3 days of auction close via bank wire or cash .
