This is a 1967 Jeep Gladiator Pickup.    Isn't 'Gladiator' a cool name for a truck?

I sell professionally on ebay (but not cars). and back in February. I attended an auction at a car dealership that was closing down in New Jersey.   They sold off all the lifts. parts. tools. etc.   And then there was this Jeep.   The owner of the dealership had passed away a couple years back. and he used the jeep at his residence to clear the snow from his driveway.   When I bought it. it had a snow plow attached. which I have since removed and sold (not much use for that in southern California).   The snow plow was as old as the Jeep. and is actually shown on the original bill of sale back in 1967 (see listing photos).

I fell in love with it (or my 16 year old daughter did). so I bought it at the auction. and then trucked it back to California.   When I got it here. I had my daughter drive it.   She makes me nervous on the road in a car that is easy to drive.   In a Jeep with 3-on-a-tree manual transmission. and manual everything else. it was too much.

So. I am parting with it. even though I love it. and buying her something I won't feel bad about crashing.   :)

As far as the mechanics of the Jeep go. here is what I know about it.

It has the original engine. which has a slow oil leak.   The steering is manual. transmission is manual. 3-on-a-tree.   The speedometer. e-brake. and gas gauge do not work.   As the odometer doesn't work. I don't know how many miles are actually on the jeep. but judging from the interior. I would bet there are less than 60. 00 original miles.   Those are the only issues I know of.

The tires and battery are new.   The paint is original. with some rust. as pictured.   The tailgate latches on one side. but does not on the other.   The lights and indicators all work (the turn signals light up in a unique way. very cool).   The door handles and window levers work PERFECTLY.   The doors shut like they are new. which was surprising to me (very tight).   3 seat belts (lap). all good.   Not sure how they kept the interior so nice. but it is as close to perfect as you can imagine for being 46 years old.   The horn is one of the best I've ever heard (also very unique).

The emblem that says "Gladiator" is still on the tailgate (very cool).   Basically everything is original.   I imagine about $1000 would take care of the mechanical issues. as they are minor.   The jeep drives great.   Really fun to drive. and you get tons of looks because you just don't see these on the road.

If you want something that is unique. that you won't find anywhere else. this is your ride.   I really don't think you are going to find a Gladiator this nice. anywhere.

If you have questions. or would like to come take it for a drive (it is parked at my house in Murrieta. CA). feel free to give me a call or text at (801) 830-1969.
