Jeep CJ 7

The 1986 Jeep CJ 7 was an immensely popular all-wheel-drive off-road

vehicle that helped usher in the sport utility vehicle trend of the 1990 s.

It was manufactured by the American Motors Corp. before Jeep was sold to the Chrysler Corp. in 1987. The 1986 Jeep CJ 7 was the last model year or the CJ 7 series.

The CJ 7 can trace its roots to the World War II-era Willys and Kaiser Jeeps used by the U. S. military in Europe and the Pacific theaters of war. The CJ series was launched in 1944 and was almost immediately converted to civilian use. primarily in ranch work or for state and local agencies in rural areas. AMC purchased Jeep from Kaiser in 1970. The CJ 7 series was launched in 1976 to replace the CJ 5. The CJ 7. which had not changed much from the first military-issue Jeeps. is almost identical to the CJ 5 with the exception of a longer wheelbase

The tires on this vehicle appear to have no wear at all. The power plant is from a 1967 Roadrunner and is a 440 Magnum with 375 HP. The casting numbers are 2536430 and the engine has a fresh rebuild and sports only 25. 00 miles. It's matched up to a Turbo 400 GM tranny with a TCI Flywheel and a J&W bell housing conversion that hooks up with the front Dana 30 and rear Dana 44. The engine exhausts itself through dual stainless steel Flowmasters all the way to the rear. The gas pump is a Holley Performer 650 and the cooling is provided by an electric cooling fan system with adjustable temp control. The lift is a 4" custom built Eaton leaf spring system with Pro-Comp ES 3000 shock absorbers attached to Pro-Comp Mud Terrain 33 X 12. 5 x 15" tires. The motor also has both K&N oil and air filters along with a 110 amp alternator. On the front a brand new 8000 lb Warn Wench was just recently installed and a front tow bar system is included for hauling your toy around. The shifter as you might have noticed is a B&M shifter with the lock outs removed for easy shifting between 1 st. nd. 3 d and nuetral. Installed in the dash are additional water temp and oil pressure gauges. We're also including 3 tops. the hard top with steel doors. the soft top with canvas doors and a bikini top. This Jeep also has all the original books. I don't know what more you could possibly ask for except about 1000 acres to have fun on!
