FIAT 500 1966 CLASSIC nearly finished 500f nuova elise

1966 FIAT 500 F classic. nbsp;round speedo model.

this is a classic fiat 500 with the desirable single scooter style instrument binnacle. recently had £4000 spent on restoring to this standard by the leading 500 specialist. painted in fiat white colour.

the underneath of the car is in wonderful condition. suspension had been completely removed before bead blasting.  then new floors and parts repainted.

many new parts fitted.  new sunroof. all new cables for throttle. hoke. lutch. tarter. andbrake. onnet release. peedo. complete new wiring loom. sunroof fabric and assembly. new rear bumper . window rubbers. new rear lights. . licence plate lamp. many new trims fitted . i could go on but best to see the car.

This car has its original 500cc engine . some prefer to install a later 126 engine but original was the way this was going. although it was my choice to paint all engine cowlings in pearl blue. a fantastic contrast against the gleaming white engine bay. photos don't really do it justice. the engine has not been fired up since before restoration but turns over no problem.

The speed says 15000 km on it but unfortunetly i have no firm evidence of this.

Deep dished steels with white wall tyres. could be supplied with original wheels if preferred.

abarth lowered suspension springs fitted.

Things left to do: interior . carpet needed. approx. £65 if you check out "ebay IT" (the Italian ebay)

pedals. centre console cow horn heater cowling s/h from one of the uk suppliers. /strong>

wiring needs finishing off. brakes need overhawling. again "ebay IT". you can get a whole brake set including all cylinders. shoes. master the lot for about £80

front bumper and lights . once again "EBAY IT" whole light set for the entire car really reasonable.

seats are with the car in black but for what they cost for a set of covers. would be worth changing. would look beautiful in a pale blue with white top section.

a few nic naks like ashtray . wiper arms and motor are needed still.

I purchased the car a couple of years ago. but work . children and other cars have stopped me completing this little gem so with space also needed I have decided to put this one up for sale.

The car is registered in my name with all documentation reg import papers. some photographic history also included on disc.

If you want to tinker with a fiat 500 and the grotty bits have been done. this one could be for you. to finish this project it needs the interior finishing and the engine and gearbox have not been run. a few parts still needed but easily available on the net. These cars are now fetching around 15k restored. one recently listed on ebay for nearly 20k and bangers are now fetching a few thousand.
