FOR SALE
One of 75 UK Porsche 924 Carrera GT's with just 55. 68 miles and full service history.

EQUIPMENT
Lightweight polyurethane front wings. front spoiler and outer rear wings. thin glass. electric window lifts. electric driver's door mirror. rear window wiper. electric aerial. halogen lamps. integrated headrests. door pockets. ‘Turbo' door stop panels. Panasonic CQ-863 EG/EE radio cassette. folding rear seats. Factory fitted options; Headlamp washers. heated/adjustable passenger door mirror. air conditioning. forged alloy wheels (91 type) 16”.

EXTERIOR
When the 924 Carrera GT appeared at the 1979 Frankfurt Show it caused an amazing reaction and all the UK allocation was spoken for before the first one arrived in the country! This gleaming Black example has been truly pampered with a deep. rich shine and maintains all the factory GT enhancements. A shockingly brutal car to look at with a styling that looks exciting atheistically thanks to the broad front wings. special aerodynamic nose. large bonnet scoop and wide rear wheel arch extensions. A few markings and paint imperfections commensurate with a 32 year old vehicle reveal the true originality of this example. Two small sections of the wing mounted ‘Carrera' transfer are broken. The vehicle still retains the official Waldron (Maidstone) Ltd Porsche number plates when sold by them in 1989. Extraordinary in every respect.

INTERIOR
The sense of occasion is maintained once settled in the commanding cockpit with supportive sports seats trimmed in the unique and utterly gorgeous black velour and red pinstripe material. This is also found on the door cards with a beautiful ‘Porsche' in scripted logo. Comprehensive equipment levels offer fantastic levels of comfort and a fully ticked option list provides still working and very rare air conditioning. A wealth of working instrumentation such as an oil-pressure gauge. ammeter and clock are crystal clear and provide ‘at a glance' information. The dash top has some cracks at the ventilation holes. The Waldron Porsche Main Dealer tax disc holder is still attached to the front screen and car comes complete with its original space saver wheel. full tool kit (unused). aluminium brace. jack and. the very often missing. tyre compressor!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
An in-line four cylinder 1. 84cc turbocharged engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection develops 210bhp. A raised compression ratio of 8. 5:1. increased boost pressure to 0. 8 atmosphere and an intercooler give exhilarating performance figures yet outstanding frugal fuel consumption thanks in part to good aerodynamics and low weight. Impeccable service care from new provides the precise manufacturer intentions faultlessly. First gear is on a ‘dog leg' and the lever is easily shifted so on the move the top four gears are a pleasure to use. The clutch pressure is increased and the 5-speed box contains gears sets made of improved material and a reinforced back axle housing leaving no doubt how special this car is to drive.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted with the optional and much sought after lightweight forged alloy wheels (7-inch front/8-inch rear 91 type 16”) in excellent. polished condition. Small isolated areas on all four wheels show signs of rim oxidisation beneath the lacquer. They are shod in new Continental ContiSportContact tyres all-round with 205/55 R16 upfront and 225/50 ZR16 at the rear. An unused space-saver spare is retained. Four internally ventilated brake discs with floating calipers inspire repeated confidence.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new on the 3rd April 1981 by Malaya Garage. Billingshurst to Mr S Shaddick who speculatively sold the vehicle on for a profit less than year and 3000 miles later! Since the first owner. the subsequent five custodians have been long-term Porsche enthusiasts who have left a perfect trail of meticulous history documentation leaving absolutely no doubt as to the genuine 55. 68 miles covered. In addition. every MOT certificate from new remains with this UK example. A fully stamped service book correlating to an A4 file of invoices is again testament to the professional care this vehicle has received from Porsche Main Dealers and reputable Porsche specialists. Recent service and mechanical receipts showing all care entrusted to Dave Griffiths Racing Ltd will put the next owner at complete ease.

Complete spare keys. Porsche maps and the unobtainable Black 924 Carrera GT Drivers Manual in the rare red wallet remain. A truly unique opportunity.
