1970 Porsche 911E Coupe SIGNAL ORANGE for sale
Current customer rating:
1970 911 E Coupe. Painted in the original color of SIGNAL ORANGE. Matching Engine number (6208141) per COA. Correct Black Leatherette interior per COA. This beautiful 911 E was lovingly restored 5 years ago in California and shows very nicely. It currently runs and drives very nicely and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. The entire underbody has been coated and there is no rust whatsoever. The paint shines nicely. and the Signal Orange color is very dramatic in person. The interior was almost completely re-done and it looks very nice. The seat material is original. however. the dash and carpets have been replaced with aftermarket products. Overall the interior looks very clean and correct. The engine was completely rebuilt and cosmetically restored less than 5. 00 miles ago. The engine runs very nicely. although the MFI has been replaced with Carburetors. Cosmetically the engine is very correct and beautiful. The transmission is very smooth having been rebuilt at the same time as the engine. All shift bushings were replaced as well making shifting smooth and effortless in all gears. In addition. the brakes were completely re-done from pedal to pad and function properly. All rubber seals were replaced at the time of restoration in addition to most gaskets. seals. grommets. nuts. bolts. and screws. All 5 gages were rebuilt/restored and work properly. All exterior lenses were replaced including brake/signal lenses and headlights. The trunk area was restored including the gas tank. For some reason the battery boxes were removed at the time of restoration and car now has a single battery. All four Fuchs are date matched and correct for 1970. The tires are new and track very well. Overall the car has a ‘new' appearance although the restoration was done to a driver level so it is not perfect. A few of the gaps could be improved and there are some very minor paint blemishes. Mechanically the car is extremely solid although it does have a few oil/fluid leaks. Recent maintenance includes new master cylinder. fresh oil change. valve adjustment. tune up. and brake service. I have a stack of receipts dating back to 2007 that cover the majority of the restoration. The title is clear and in my name. however. at some point in the past the car received a salvage title.
