This car was recently purchased from it's long term owner in Minnesota. who restored the car years ago and sparingly drove it in only nice weather. The car has been garaged during his ownership since the restoration and presents nicely today as a very attractive and usable road car. ready to go.  
This vehicle offered for sale here is a rare factory overdrive car finished in it's original color scheme of Signal Red with Black trim. as noted by the chassis plate. It is also fitted with a heater and correct 60-spoke painted wire wheels. It is estimated that about only 5% of production left the factory with the rare overdrive gearbox fitted.  
The body on the cars look good with no accident damage. At one point. the outer rockers had the typical replacements. but a decent job. The paintwork is older and a modest job. but it presents well and shiny and looks perfectly fine on the car.  
The engine compartment on this car is extremely clean and well-detailed for a TR-4. The car's engine is fitted with the desirable HS-6 carburetors which is the preferred setup among these models. The engine starts easily on the key with great oil pressure and no smoke. willingly revs. and propels the car briskly down the road. The gearbox behaves perfectly with easy shifts and the rear axle is quiet. The car is mechanically very good overall. Wheels and tires roll nice and smooth along the road. The previous owner said the overdrive was operating fine but the column switch broke and needs replacement.  
The interior trim is in good condition with newer carpets. nice seats and door panels. top coverings. The top is nearly new. fits well. and has hardly seen any use. The car also includes a black tonneau cover in great condition. The top dash pads and crash pads are all nice. The windshield is a new quality Triplex brand with a new seal. There is some pitting on the rear taillights that would need replating. the rear bumper is good. the front bumper is newer. The car's brightwork in general is very good. The panels open and shut well.  
Overall. this desirable. highly-optioned TR-4 is finished in it's factory color scheme. This car is a very attractive driver and is ready to be enjoyed. just in time for Spring driving.
