1972 Hurst/Olds W-45 Pace Car Convertible
- This is an ACUTAL Track Car used in 1972 at the Indy 500. verified by the Registry and VIN#.
Car #37 used at the Indianapolis Indy 500 event in 1972.
VIN# 3 J 67 U 2 M 194900
Assigned to the SAME PERSON as the 1970 Y-74 Pace Car I also have listed. Mrs. Toni Sexson - Indy 500 Board of Directors Member.
Re-Production front license plate. using the same
tooling as in 1972. Official Pace Car.
Mark Donahue. Peter Revson. and Bobby Unser Jr. all
rode in this car during the 1972 Festival Parade and Parade Lap on the
track. Have a picture of them in the car.
Car was restored in 2007/2008 using as many NOS parts
as possible. including Legendary Interior.
Numbers Matching Car. with the exception of the HEADS.
Currently has "J" heads. but I have the original
"Ga" heads that will come with the car.
Also have all of the original interior that will come
with the car.
Alternator is NEW. have original that will come with
the car.
Car currently has 75. 70 Original Miles
I am the 4 th owner of this car.
There is about a 2" rip in the Convertible Top. in the usual place for these tops. at the top of what would be the sail panel on the drivers side.
Doesn't affect the drivability of the car and elected to not have the rip fixed due to the fact I drove the car in the summer with the top down.
The rip happened while the car was owned by the previous owner.
Car comes with a CUSTOM SHOW BOARD.
