 1955 Ford Consul MK1. 62k miles believed genuine. Mot August but now Mot exempt. Road Tax November. Full Stainless Exaust. This Consul has been well cared for by its previous owner for the last 6 years having owned one in his 20s and had to have another during his retirement and this car fitted the bill being the same colour. the car has always been garaged and is in outstanding condition and a pleasure to drive.

 The car is an older restoration and was carried out the 1980s and was also made aware that the engine was rebuilt prior to the last owner getting the car. The car needs to be seen to be appreciated. Paintwork is exceptional for its age. Chrome is in very good order and appears the bumpers and hub caps have been re-done. The interior seats have also been retrimmed to a high standard some time ago and are in perfect condition. the headlining appears original with age related staining and the rubber on the all-in-one floor matt are original and in very good condition.

 I drove the car today and drives very well indeed once you get used to the column change gear lever that is. pulls very well. ride is smooth and an effortless drive. These cars are extremely rare now and very collectable in this condition.   According to the DVLA site "how manys left" they are showing less than 40 currently taxed and sorned. We have previous mots back to 1999 milage at 55000 miles. an original work shop manual. the cassell book of the ford consul. an original ford consul instruction book and a classic cars magazine from 2006 showing the car in a dealer article will all come the car.
