1950 IMCA Big Car Sprinter

Ranger 440 cu inch Monoposto Pre War Class racer

This is one of 8 of these fabulous race cars originally built with one of the light 6 cylinder engines that has over 400 pounds of torgue. that was designed to compete with the Offenhausers in the U. S. A. IMCA Sprint Car Series of the 50's.

These 440 cu inch Ranger aircraft engined Big Cars were the most popular choice that was able to compete successfully with the Offys on Mid Western track of Indiana. Ohio. Kansas. and other neighboring States.

Originally from Kansas Missouri. this Sprinter last raced at Carrolton Ohio in 1974. and was later taken to Phoenix.

It was found stored in Arizona for over 40 + years. and was acquired from the estate after the owner died.

If you are seriously interested in a very rare and desirable piece of American Racing Big Car History. this car is certainly worth your consideration.
