SELLER REMARKS

The later 'Cudas. especially the Hemis seem to get all the attention. but this sweet little 1967 Barracuda is lighter. more agile. and quite likely faster than most of its younger siblings. A very cool mix of restored parts. race components. and later styling tricks. it's already been featured in magazines and is an absolute blast to drive.

The bright Hemi Orange paint job grabs your attention instantly. but then you start to notice that there's more to this Barracuda than first meets the eye. First there's a flat black hood with a massive hood scoop that looks like it was borrowed from an early Max Wedge or something. giving it a race-ready look that's uniquely Mopar. The trim Barracuda coupe bodywork is minimalism at its best. offering light weight and maximum rigidity for the rigors of track use. although this one has been heavily reinforced (more on that in a moment). Paint and bodywork are worthy of their coverage in Mopar magazine. with excellent fit and finish throughout that shows extremely well. Then there are the strobe stripes running along the flanks from an AAR 'Cuda and the actually look like they belong on this car and echo the shape of the fender line in profile. The chrome and trim were likewise restored. which is nice to see since cars that are built for combat seldom get fresh jewelry like this one has.

The all-black interior neatly straddles the street/strip fence. offering full upholstery. door panels. and even a back seat to make it habitable for road trips and other car-related activities. The front buckets are highly supportive buckets with 5-point harnesses. but the custom center console between them suggests this car was also built to cruise and show. There's a full cage painted to match the body. and while it makes the back seat pretty much show-only. it also reinforces the structure and makes this nasty little Mopar safe on the big end. The original dash now offers an array of Dolphin instruments plus a shift light on the column and a big Auto Meter tach up high where it's easy to see.

The engine is a snarling 360 cubic inch small block that's been built to take no prisoners. With 11:1 compression. a Holley carb and intake. plus long-tube headers and an X-pipe. it has a nasty bark and there's no question that it needs that big hood scoop to keep it fed. Very neatly detailed under the hood. it's clear that showing as well as racing were in this car's future. so the block wears Hemi Orange paint and the engine bay was assembled with as much care as the rest of the car. The stout small block is backed by a 4-speed with a Hurst shifter on top feeding an 8. 75-inch rear with 4. 11s inside on a Sure Grip limited slip. Pretty Weld wheels wear race-spec 205/60/15 front and 30x12-15 Mickey Thompson meats out back.

Cars with a single-minded purpose of being fast rarely get finished to this level. but there's a reason this one was chosen for the magazines. Fast. beautiful. and functional. it's the ultimate early Barracuda. Call today!
