1957 Mercedes 190 SL Convertible

I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles.   Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle.

This is one of those items:

We just received this from an estate of an older gentleman whom. over 25 years ago. decided to restore the car.   The gentleman took all the chrome off and all the trimming. and the car is in black primer right now. but due to health reasons he never finished it.

All the panels are absolutely solid  such as fenders . oors . ood . runk . ut the floor is rusty.

 We have all the chrome and the parts such as carburetors.   We even have several duplicate parts as the gentleman started collecting parts for his car.   All these parts have been packed neatly inside of two large plastic crates.   All the parts. every single one of them. will go with the car. and none of them will be sold separately.

What is good about the car:

It comes with a clear Texas title.

It is a complete car.

All the panels are absolutely solid except the floor boards in the front passenger and driver's side in front of the seats.

The car is in black primer so it has been protected from the weather .

What is not so good about the car?

It needs a front windshield.

The floor boards in the front passenger and driver needs to be repaired due to rust.   Also. there is a rust hole in the trunk.

Due to   the fact that that the carburetors are off. we have not had any opportunity to start the car.

The car needs a complete restoration.

The car rolls very well.   And we can deliver to a short distance in Texas for a reasonable amount.    Please remember that this car needs a complete restoration so you cannot call to come over and drive it home.   I mention this because I've had people call about driving a restoration project cars home before.

Remember that this classic car is 60 years old.   Please remember that things always look better in pictures.   So you are more than welcome to come see it in person.

We require a $300 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes and the remaining balance within a week.   Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The car will be sold as is. with no warranty or guarantee.
