It's been my pleasure to own this car for nearly 9 years. It has covered only 7000 miles since a total restoration and mechanical rebuild was completed. at considerable expense. in 2001. The 2912 cc. 6 cylinder. 148BHP engine with twin 2” SU Carburettors was converted to unleaded petrol and the gearbox. drivetrain. suspension and brakes were all rebuilt. The body and chassis were separated. shot blasted and resprayed. A photographic record of the work is provided with over £14k spent in parts alone (receipts available).

 

·      British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate with matching numbers. Built 8th-17th November 1966 and then dispatched to New York. USA. Repatriated back to the UK in 1991.

 

·      British Racing Green with retrimmed Black Leather 2+2 seats.

 

·      Black Hood. Tonneau and Hood Cover. all in excellent condition.

 

·      Manual gearbox with Overdrive.

 

·      Stainless steel exhaust system.

   

·      72 Spoke Wire Wheels with a Moto Lita Steering Wheel.

 

·      Adjustable rear view mirror and two door mirrors.

 

·      Clear Waxoil underseal.

 

This rare Mark III. Phase 2 model is the most desirable and collectable with its improved rear suspension. servo assisted front disc brakes. pull-up hood. curved laminated windscreen. wind-up windows. walnut dashboard. adjustable steering column and separate amber indicators.
