1976 VW T2 Bay window pick up.


This car is finished to an extremely high standard. having recently been restored. As the pictures show. the ebony and ivory colour scheme of the exterior matches the interior leather upholstery to give an extremely striking classic 1970s look and a quality feel to the whole pick up.


To say the pick up drives like new would be an insult to it. in fact it drives much. much better than that. In particular the ride and road handling have been improved by way of uprated suspension parts. detective drop spindles and Porsche alloy wheels. The engine was also rebuilt sparing no expense and as such is smooth and reliable.


During the restoration a number of modifications have been added to this pick up which were effected extremely sympathetically. and are barely visibly noticeable. These include the sound system. tucked away under the seats. these components are all from the very best of manufactures including Rockford Fosgate. Pioneer. Phoenix Gold and the like. remote central locking (only noticeable by the fob on the keys) and a flip up touch screen DVD /CD/MP3 media player which can be connected to a smart phone or tablet and therefore be used as a satnav.


The condition of the truck is fantastic throughout. including the engine. interior. bodywork and the original woodwork of the drop sides. a feature which was fitted by the factory when the vehicle was supplied to the Swedish forestry commission (a RHD country at that time. as such this is a UK spec. VW)


The Pick up is taxed and has an MOT untill July 2014 and is ready for what ever journey you have in mind. just add fuel and classic insurance.
