1979 Jeep Renegade CJ7

We have owned this Jeep since 1994.

It became clear after many years of summer service that a total rebuild + upgrade mod would be the thing to do.

Its now been 2698 miles & 5 years of local road use after that rebuild.

The rebuild and parts selection was designed to retain the stunning good looks of a vintage CJ but that was also fully capable for west Michigan off road transportation which featured forest terrain with sandy trails or a cruise around town.

The 327 with 202 heads and 650 cfi 4 bbl Edelbrock provides more than enough power and torque as well the winch. 33" tires. Dana transfer case and skid plates are there to keep anyone from getting into any trouble while off in the wilderness.

It was a "house car" so it had to be an automatic for guests to be able to use.

No wimpy fiberglass. we went all steel. with the right stuff as listed below. no expense spared.

The Loden Green with Spice interior and new Renegade decal. coupled with the beefy off road stuff = absolutely awesome. ultra cool vintage CJ - the best looking Jeeps of all time.

Its for sale. as we sold the property in MI so it is now a garage queen in suburban Chicago.

Never seen rain or snow and sadly never been off road.
