1975 Lada 2103 (VAZ Zhiguli) Titled and Registered in CA (like FIAT 124 125)

Up for sale our family's Lada. the original 'common man's Cadillac' of the Russian auto industry at the time.   It's an original 'Made in USSR' vehicle that has 1. 5 liter 4 cylinder engine with the original 4 speed transmission. We get more stares and people walking up and asking about the car. than when we drive the Ferrari.   The car was imported into U. S. from St. Petersburg. Russia and has been titled and registered in the State of California. This Lada has been sitting in the garage for a long time. due to health issues grandpa just couldn't drive it. hence the good condition of the car.   This Lada now has 16. XX kilometers on the 5 digit dial. so it probably turned over at least once in 30 years.   Picture of the dial below doesn't resemble the actual current mileage on the car.   The seats and the interior are in great condition all of the windows are original. Car has been cared for very well and is parked in the indoor garage.   Very good driver on city or highway roads. Have the original tool kit with portable light and crank start in the trunk. Car stereo has never been installed to keep the car original stock without any speaker cutouts done. The original steering wheel braiding (seen on pictures) has been kept. but can easily be removed.

Recent work done includes: oil change 10-40 semi synthetic oil with Bosch oil filter (have one russian oil filter left). new engine air filter. new valve cover gasket. rear axle fluid change. manual transmission oil change. brand new 'made in Russia' tires. new front sway bar bushings. Engine starts with no hesitation.   It has about 90% original parts (made in USSR). Comes with many extra parts. including undercarriage plastic protectors for 4 wheels (that I have removed since it's garaged in California and this car never sees rain or night). also there is a LADA parts store in US that has most of the parts available in stock starting with brake pads up to the engine and transmission.   This store imports everything from Russia. so it is an exact fit. if you ever need anything.

Body has some minor dents and scratches expected for a 30 year old vehicle. but as you can see from pictures the car still looks great.   Some of the chrome inside has been aging. At some point in the past. after working on the car grandpa left an oily rag sitting on the front left fender for a long time. so left front fender was professionally re-painted. The original exhaust has one small hole in it. which is about 1/8 of an inch. doesn't affect the exhaust noise. so I haven't fixed it. Windshield and front left square glass do have scratches on them. but no cracks.   There is no major rust anywhere on the vehicle. the fenders and doors bottoms are in great condition.
